About StrongerWork

We've seen performance from both sides.

For decades, we've worked with people across every level of business — from employees navigating the realities of life and work, to owners and executives carrying the responsibility of leading organizations. Those different perspectives led us to the same conclusion: people perform within systems. When the systems surrounding them are clear, aligned, and strong, their effort has a far greater opportunity to become performance.

Two perspectives. One shared belief.

Understanding the whole organization means understanding the people inside it.

Greg Bennett

Greg Bennett spent decades working close to employees, seeing firsthand that people don't leave life at the door when they come to work. Loss, illness, addiction, relationships, financial pressure, and other challenges affect how people show up and perform. His work taught him the power of meeting people where they are and walking alongside them.

Al Marquiss

Al Marquiss spent decades on the other side of the equation — as a business owner, corporate leader, coach, and facilitator. He has lived and seen the pressures leaders carry: responsibility for people's livelihoods, financial risk, difficult decisions, uncertainty, and the expectation to perform even when they aren't at their best.

Different vantage points created a shared conviction: sustainable performance requires understanding both the people doing the work and the leaders responsible for the results.

The evolution of StrongerWork

From human performance to organizational performance.

Al and Greg began working together six years ago when Greg engaged Al as his business coach. Over time, their work expanded from strengthening Greg's business to exploring a larger question: How could StrongerWork help organizations improve performance at scale?

They began developing and delivering leadership and performance programs focused on stronger leaders, stronger minds, and stronger habits. The work reinforced the importance of human performance — but also revealed that people alone weren't the whole equation. There is a need for Stronger Systems.

Clarity matters. People matter. Execution matters. Measurement matters. And most importantly, they have to work together.

That realization became the foundation for the StrongerWork Performance System™ — four interconnected Performance Systems designed to turn individual and organizational effort into measurable business performance.

The people behind StrongerWork

Different experience. Shared purpose.

Al Marquiss

Co-Owner · Business Performance & Leadership

Al has spent his career seeing business from multiple seats — as an entrepreneur, business owner, Fortune 500 leader, executive coach, and CEO peer-group facilitator. That experience has given him a practical understanding of both the opportunities of business ownership and the pressures of leading people, making difficult decisions, and being accountable for results.

As a Vistage Chair and executive coach, Al spends 700+ hours each year working behind closed doors directly with CEOs and business owners — challenging assumptions, working through difficult issues, and helping leaders make better decisions. His experience has reinforced a core belief: talented people, hard work, and good intentions matter, but strong systems are what help turn that effort into sustainable performance.

At StrongerWork, Al leads the continued development of the StrongerWork Performance System™ and works with leadership teams to identify performance friction, strengthen the systems behind it, and build their capability to execute.

Ultimately, Al's work is driven by a simple idea: help people, leaders, and businesses perform to their potential.

Greg Bennett

Co-Owner · Human Performance & Organizational Systems

Greg has spent decades working inside organizations and alongside the people who make them work. His experience has given him a unique perspective on something businesses can easily overlook: employees don't leave the rest of their lives at the door. Personal challenges and unexpected crises affect how people show up and perform.

For more than two decades, Greg's work has centered on meeting people where they are, asking the right questions, and helping them navigate barriers to performing at their best. His experience working with both employees and organizational leaders has given him a deep understanding of communication, relationships, workplace dynamics, and the human factors that influence performance.

At StrongerWork, Greg brings that perspective to the StrongerWork Performance System™, with particular depth in the People System — helping organizations better understand their people and create the conditions in which individuals and teams are equipped and ready to perform at their best.

Greg's work is grounded in a simple belief: when people are in crisis, meet them where they are, walk alongside them, and help them move from surviving to thriving.

Where we're going

Building capability that reaches beyond us.

Our vision is bigger than the work any two people can deliver. We're building StrongerWork to equip future StrongerWork Guides and leaders with the systems, tools, knowledge, and disciplines to help organizations perform at their best.

The goal isn't dependence on us. It's stronger leaders, stronger systems, and organizations with the capability to keep getting better.

Performance starts with people. Systems help them reach their potential.

We bring decades of experience with people, leadership, and business performance together in one system designed to help organizations turn effort into measurable performance.
